How to register a new domain

For a .ie: one document proving your connection to Ireland

    Search for the name

    Go to our domain registration page and type the name you’d like, e.g. murphysbakery.

    Choose the extension

    Pick the extension (.ie, .com, .eu…) from the results and add it to the basket.

    Check out

    Sign in to your Client Area account (or create one) and complete the order.

  4. 4

    For .ie domains: send one document

    The .ie registry needs proof of your connection to Ireland, for example a CRO number for a company or an Irish passport for a person. Read our full guide: How to register a .ie domain.

    Wait for activation

    Most domains are active within minutes. A .ie is usually validated within three hours on working days.

Good to know
  • Register the matching .com too, so nobody else can use your name.
